Troutdale Dog Park

Dog playing with a stick in the off-leash area at Columbia Park in Troutdale

The City of Troutdale’s first off-leash area for dogs is located in the wooded area of Columbia Park, south-west of Imagination Station. The 1.6-acre off-leash area features a perimeter fence and three access gates. Cedar chips line much of the ground inside the park.

While the park is currently one large open area, in the near future there will be a separate fenced-in section for small dogs.

Please remember that dogs must be kept on a leash at all times when they are outside of the dog park fence boundary. Dogs are still not allowed on any playgrounds or sports fields and courts as well as on the beach at Glenn Otto Park, and in ecologically sensitive areas like Beaver Creek Canyon. A sign with a full list of rules is posted at the dog park. The off-leash dog park is open during regular park hours.

The Grand Opening of the first off-leash area in the City of Troutdale took place on October 22, 2023. You can find a gallery of photos from the event that were taken by Troutdale-based photographer, Chris Brecht of Ellingson Lane Photography. We hope you and your companion enjoy this new addition to Troutdale’s park system!
